We are concerned with structural integrity. Be it that of the human mind and body, a building or an ecosystem. We investigate the foundations on which our society's structures are built on and look to ways in which systems can be improved and life be made more enduring.
We fight for what ought to be; for what can be. We see injustice done to others as a personal affront. We believe that education is the great equaliser and so we hope to inspire a lust for life long learning. We believe every positive action sends a ripple of hope through society and we hope to elevate the ordinary citizen to a “higher plane, greater scope and larger capability”.
We believe business can be done bigger and better by being more inclusive and casting our net wider. That by being a social enterprise, we can optimise the relationship between profits and that of societal and environmental impact. This requires shouldering greater responsibility, being more collaborative at every level and making the circle bigger on who we consider to be our stakeholders
"Sherpa's are highly regarded as elite mountaineers and experts in their local area. They were immeasurably valuable to early explorers of the Himalayan region, serving as guides at the extreme altitudes of the peaks and passes in the region, particularly for expeditions to climb Mount Everest." - Wikipedia
We have our own (social) mountains to climb here on the continent of Africa and it is the job of the Sherpa of Sagacity to carry the load, be humble, and pick up those who stumble along the way.
