We know that we deserve better and yet do we consider ourselves impotent to affect change?

As a Sagacious Citizen we believe every positive action "sends a ripple of hope" through society and is felt but that our actions stem from our beliefs and that these are fed by our thoughts. Our thoughts of what we deem possible and impossible. We share a common vision for the ordinary citizens of South Africa with that of the commissioners of the South African Vision 2030:

"We are a people who value thoughts and ideas"

A proclivity to reason.

We have come to hold true that a leader is only as powerful as the idea they communicate. We are starved of leaders in part due to a faceless enemy that is difficult to unite against (unlike that of Apartheid) whereby we are now held captive by listless leaders and  a society slumbering in its silos. To challenge this status quo requires a strength of will and direction the secret ingredient of which resides in our countries greatest resource: its diversity - of culture, of race, of thought.

That if we engage in an inclusive discourse that leverages off our diverse perspectives hopefully we can create a contagious socially cohesive brand of conversation. A finding of commonality and overlaps.

To do this requires breaking out of our Silos, collaborating and taking on a challenge:

Show empathy, be mindful, be curious... be passionately curious

"Leaders are only as powerful as the idea they communicate."
